The Peanut Belt RPO is a Rural Transportation Planning Organization comprised of Bertie, Halifax, Hertford, and Northampton Conties. Through cooperation between the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), Local Government Staff, and Elected Officials, the RPO works to evaluate and meet the transportation needs in the area.



PBRPO Prioritization 4.0 Local Input Points Assignment - Division Tier

In accordance with the Peanut Belt RPO P 4.0 Local Input Point Assignment Methodology, posted below is the Local Input Points Assignment for the Division Tier. Due to severe flooding in the area, changes in the TCC/TAC Meeting Schedule were necessary that affected the length of the Public Comment Period. At the approval of NCDOT, the Public Comment Period has been shortened from 30 Days to 22 Days. Please review the posted Points Assignment and provide any public comment or feedback by October 24, 2016.

PBRPO Prioritization 4.0 Local Input Point Assignment Methodology

In accordance with legislative requirements, each MPO and RPO throughout the state is required to develop a Local Input Point Assignment Methodology. This Methodology will be used to prioritize projects within the PBRPO, which will then be submitted to NCDOT for programming the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program(STIP). The following Local Input Point Assignment Methodology was approved by the Strategic Prioritization Office of Transportation at NCDOT and by the PBRPO TCC and TAC on May 19th 2016.
